This versatile design looks great in contemporary, novelty, traditional and even reproduction fabrics. High contrast between block frames and sashing gives the quilt a more graphic or contemporary look, while the softer colors of traditional and reproduction fabrics give it a more blended look. The thimble-shaped tumblers are fused into place and then appliqued to anchor them to the quilt blocks before constructing the top. This means no wrestling the whole quilt through your machine.
