A 14 square appliqued, embroidered, and beaded wool table mat featuring 3 dimensional wool and cork holly leaves and bright red berries. The pattern features the use of cork appliqued to the top set of holly leaves – to provide extra texture, interest and color. One could also use wool for those same appliques,. All the bright red wool berries are stuffed and accented with a seed bead. A Very Holly Time provides an opportunity to try some beading although it can be completed with conventional basic applique stitches. The pattern includes full-sized templates, along with complete step by step directions and illustration.
